WKU Library is invited to 2018 Chinese Library Annual Conference
YANG Le of the WKU Library was invited to attend the 2018 Chinese Library Annual Conference in Langfang and Pre-conference in Chengdu. As the President of Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA), YANG Le attended a series of meetings and seminars with the Presidents and Secretary Generals of international associations and national libraries, including the International Federation of Library Associations & Institutions (IFLA), American Library Association, British National Library, Singapore National Library, Australian National Library, etc.
During the conference, CALA successfully held the Third Academic Session, with the theme “Library Technology and Innovation.” YANG Le gave a welcome speech to the audience and conducted the first presentation at the session.

In the meanwhile, YANG Le also attended the roundtable meeting of Library Science Education Committee, joining the discussion with scholars and experts about library and information science curriculum development and research for the new era.
During the conference, Chinese Academy of Sciences invited YANG Le to give two presentations about theoretical study and system development of research data management, reaching a few hundred audience. The two presentations received positive feedback and initiated meaningful discussions at the seminars. Editors of two scholarly journals therefore invited YANG to publish research articles in the field with them.
