  • Book Donation

The Wenzhou-Kean University Library warmly welcomes and appreciates book donations from individuals of all walks of life, including our own faculty, students, and alumni.

    Book Donation Principles:

Due to the collection scope and storage space limitations, the Library accepts donated books selectively. Donated books must meet the following principles for inclusion:

    1. Donations should comply with the “Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China” and other related regulations.
    2. Donated books should be formal publications; books of high academic value and collection value that are not formally published may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
    3. The content of the donated books should be suitable for the undergraduate level and above.
    4. One copy of each title is preferred for donation.
    5. Donated books should be in good condition and well-preserved.

    Donated Books Processing:

Once the materials are donated to the WKU Library, the WKU Library will have the ownership of the donated materials. The Library will have the right to manage the donated literature properly according to the Library policies (including collection, transfer, exchange, etc.) without informing the donors.

    Donation Methods:

    1. In-person donation: Donors can bring books to the Library Service Desk on the 3rd floor of the Student Learning and Activity Center (SLAC) at Wenzhou-Kean University.
    2. Postal donation: Donors can send the donated books to the Wenzhou-Kean University Library via post (unless agreed upon beforehand; the Library does not accept cash on delivery packages). Please mark “Book Donation” on the top of the package. Meanwhile, please email the information of the tracking number to libacq@wku.edu.cn so that our staff can promptly check and receive the package. Mailing address: Room 304, Resource Management Unit of the Library, Student Learning and Activity Center (SLAC), Wenzhou-Kean University, No. 88 Daxue Road, Ouhai District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. Contact person: Ms. Chen, Contact No. 0577-55870656, Postal Code: 325060. It is recommended that donors opt for SF Express or China Post.

Note: If more than 10 titles of books will be donated, please donors provide a list of books.

    Donation Receipt:

The Library can provide a printed or electronic thank-you letter for the donation based on the donor’s preference. Donors are required to leave their name, phone number, address, and email address so the Library can send the thank-you letter. The Library will also periodically publish the list of donated books and donors on the Library’s website to express gratitude publicly.

    Donation Inquiry:

If you have any questions about book donations, donors can contact the Library’s donation coordinator, Ms. Chen, through the following methods:
