Lakefront Library Event | Found Poems
In order to fully utilize the resources of back-issue to stimulate student's interest in literary creation, WKU Library has decided to host an activity using back-issue. Found poems shatter the fixed arrangement of texts, combining seemingly unrelated images together to liberate expression from rigid language, resulting in unexpected literary effects.
Unleash your creativity!!! Create your own poem with separate words, whether it's lyrical, narrative, or philosophical, you can find the perfect expression here! Participating in this event not only shows your literary talent but also gives you the chance to get a unique canvas bag. All you need is a poetic heart and hands! Come join us and experience the magic of poetry together!
Two sections:
Section 1: Found Poems Workshop
- Workshop Time: April 9th, 13:00-16:00
- Workshop Location: Academic Seminar, SLAC 6F
- Workshop Content: Introduction of found poems and making your own found poems
- How to Participate: Scan the QR code below to participate (limited number: 30)
Section 2: Make Your Own Canvas Bag
- Workshop Time: April 16th, 13:00-16:00
- Workshop Location: Academic Seminar, SLAC 6F
- Workshop Content: Collect the Found poems from the first stage and customize them into canvas bags for participants do their own DIY creations. In addition, 10 blank canvas bags are open on a first-come-first-served.
