As an important place for learning and communication, WKU library is popular among students, and we are also proud of it. However, the recent uncivilized behavior in the library has disrupted this harmony.

Code of Conduct

Please keep quiet inside the library. Foods should not be consumed in the library. Drinks in spill-proof or tightly covered containers are allowed.

“”

Borrowing and Returning Books in a Civilized Manner

When searching for books, please try to put them back in order or in the nearby book cart. When returning the books, please put them back in the book cart, and the staff will put the books on the shelves uniformly.

“”

No Seat-occupying

When leaving your seat, please take all personal belongings with you. Please fill out the Library Study Space Break with a maximum time limit of 30 minutes. The occupied items will be moved to SLAC 302. Please keep your personal belongings properly. WKU Library accepts no liability for any damages or losses to the personal belongings.

“”

Put Away the Furniture

When you move chairs and other furniture due to personal needs, please return them to their places in a timely manner to avoid the inconvenience and difficulties caused to other patrons due to the mismatch of different models and sizes of furniture after moving.

“”

No Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in any area of the library, including terraces.

“”

Keep Your Seat Clean

After using a specific space, you should take away any generated garbage and keep seat clean to avoid adding extra workload to the cleaning staff.

“”

Reasonable Reservation for the Library Space

Meeting rooms/discussion rooms are intended for group study and discussions, with a minimum capacity of two people. Only those on the reservation list are allowed to use the room. Therefore, if it is for personal use, it is recommended to go to other public spaces in the library to ensure the effective use of resources in the library.

“”

“”

Turn off the Equipment in the Library in Time

After using the computers in the Computer Lab or Digital Scholarship Center and the table lamps in the library, please turn them off in time to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

“”

Proper Use of Phone Storage Lockers

When using phone storage lockers to store personal electronic devices, please turn the device to silent mode to avoid disturbing other patrons if it rings.

We encourage every WKUer to supervise each other, provide feedback, and work together to maintain a good learning and communication environment. If you find any other uncivilized behavior in the library, please come to the Library Service Desk on the third floor of SLAC or by email (library@wku.edu.cn) to tell the library staff. We believe that through everyone’s efforts, the library will provide better services for all WKUers.
