Wenzhou-Kean University Library has officially launched its new Institutional Repository---WIRE, aiming to promote effective sharing and dissemination of academic resources. This platform provides a centralized and open-access space for faculty, staff, and students to showcase and store their academic achievements, thereby enhancing the university's research impact and academic resource management.
The newly launched WIRE covers various types of academic achievements, including journal articles, conference papers, books, patents, and theses. Through WIRE, both internal and external users can easily search, browse, and download publicly available academic resources, promoting academic exchange and collaboration.

WIRE Highlights
1.Open Access: All publicly released academic resources are available for free to global users, enhancing the international impact of the university's research outcomes.
2.Efficient Management: The platform automatically collects various publicly published academic achievements from researchers. Faculty and students can also upload their research outputs to the platform. The system will automatically generate standardized metadata and a unique permanent link for each item, ensuring long-term preservation and citation. (The upload feature will be available in a future version update.)
3.Diverse Resources: In addition to traditional academic papers, WIRE also supports the storage and sharing of various resource types, including research datasets, patents, and more.
4.Advanced Search Functionality: The platform is equipped with advanced multidimensional search technology, allowing users to perform precise searches using keywords, authors, publication dates, and other parameters, quickly obtaining the academic materials they need.
WIRE Future
The launch of the Institutional Repository not only provides a centralized platform for showcasing the university’s academic achievements but also contributes to enhancing the university's reputation and influence in both domestic and international academic communities. Moreover, the open-access nature of the repository creates a valuable resource hub for the global academic community, encouraging interdisciplinary and cross-regional research collaboration.
In the future, Wenzhou-Kean University Library plans to continuously optimize the platform, expand the variety of resources available, and further promote the visibility and impact of its research achievements. Faculty, staff and students are warmly encouraged to actively utilize the platform and upload their research outputs, contributing to the university’s mission of academic resource sharing.
