The Plan of Going Home | Artist Assistants Open for Recruitment
On December 24, 2024, Hong Museum, in collaboration with te editions, Nanshizhao, and Wenzhou-Kean University Library, officially launched the Zougui Project, a local food-themed artist residency. As of March 2025, seven groups of resident creators have been successfully selected and are now engaged in their respective research or creative practices. In order to further promote the development of the project and to improve the quality of the creative work, the “The Plan of Going Home” is now recruiting a number of creators' project assistants for all the students of Wenzhou-Kean University. The project assistants will help the creators based at WKU to carry out research and creative work, gain a deeper understanding of local food culture, participate in project planning and execution, and accumulate valuable experience in artistic creation and practice.This call for assistants will be limited to assisting with the Artist-in-Residence's activities on WKU campus.
Sha Shuang
【Intended Residency: April / May / June】
Sha Shuang is a graduate of the Printmaking Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Born in Wenzhou and now based in Shanghai, her work explores public relations, public spaces, and localized practices. Her artistic approach includes painting, installation, and social intervention, often relying on collaborative co-creation.
Looking for candidates
· Have a background or interest in Food Science, Architecture, AI, or Animal Husbandry
·Are fluent in Wenzhounese (preferably locals) and skilled in video filming and editing

Participation Benefits:
•Project hours can count toward WKU’s co-curricular volunteer and practice requirements
•A Zougui Project Certificate from Hong Museum will be provided for participation of 3 weeks or longer
•Work insurance will be covered by the Hong museum
•Flexible work model to balance study and practice
•Close collaboration with the Hong museum and creative teams, offering insider knowledge and hands-on experience in the arts
