Exhibition Preview: Automata x Heritage — Taishun Kucun Mechanical Puppetry Showcase

May 22, 2025 | The library activities

What happens when gears meet intangible cultural heritage? 12 automata installations, designed by sophomore students from the College of Architecture and Design WKU, will bring Taishun’s traditions to life through interactive mechanical storytelling!

Inspired by the folklore and crafts of Taishun’s Kucun village, these works transform cultural heritage into dynamic art. Each crank turn awakens memories, blending playfulness with reverence for the past.
