Exhibition Preview | Nobel Bookshelf: Who Wins the World with Words
In 2025, the Nobel Prize in Literature was announced under the global spotlight. At this memorable moment, we can't help but ask again: what kind of writing can transcend the boundaries of language and culture to ultimately win the world's resonance?
From October 20 to November 2, Wenzhou-Kean University Library will present a literary journey themed Nobel Bookshelf: Who Wins the World with Words. This exhibition blends the classic and the contemporary, reading and reflection. We invite all faculty, staff and students to step into the library and explore the literary worlds built by words and the stories that illuminate the human spirit.

Exhibition Overview
Preface: Why Literature?
Here, we go beyond introducing an award to explore the very essence of literature. The Nobel Prize in Literature has never honored a single work in isolation; it celebrates a profound gaze into the human condition, an enduring attempt to build a spiritual home through language.
Main Exhibition: Voices of the Present
This section focuses on the 2025 Nobel Laureate in Literature, Hungarian author László Krasznahorkai, showcasing his classic works, including Kegyelmi viszonyok and Baron Wenckheim's Homecoming.
Retrospective Section: Echoes of the Past
This section brings together works by Nobel Laureates in Literature from the past decade. Ten years, ten literary masters. Through the thread of books, we weave a "Nobel tableau" that transcends time and space, reflecting on how the classics came to be and why they continue to endure.
Interactive Zone: Readers' Co-Creation Wall
"Use dot stickers to crown the words that move you."
In the interactive area, we provide red, blue, and green dot stickers, respectively representing "Most Powerful", "Most Poetic", and "Most Thought-Provoking." Each sticker is not only a choice but also a silent recommendation, an act of collective creativity and shared insight among readers.
Exhibition Invitation
In this era of increasing information fragmentation, we sincerely invite every faculty, staff and student to visit this themed book exhibition, to rediscover the charm of deep reading. Amid the clamor of countless voices, may you find a moment of quiet dialogue with great minds. We believe that literature remains a power that truly "wins the world"—not through conquest, but through understanding and resonance.
